I just added a new piece of wood to my male Panther chameleons cage yesterday and he hasn't moved from the perch overlooking it since, it is kind of making me worried he hasn't had any health problems since we have had him no odd or weird behavior until i added this wood branch should i remove it or is this typical behavior when you add something new??

Most chameleons will have a reaction to new additions or changes to their enclosure. I don't think it's anything to worry about, I put my young male veiled into a medium sized Reptibreeze a few weeks ago and he still acts cautious and as only just started to explore it.

It's pretty normal. They don't handle change well. One time we had to redo our panther's cage. He stayed in one spot for over 24 hours (after I managed to pry him off my hand and into the cage)! They eventually adjust. Give it time.
