New deremensis...possible toe infection?

Just today we bought a 7 month old deremensis chameleon from a VERY reputable exotic pet shop. When we had him set up in his new habitat we noticed that a few of his toes on both right legs are blackish and look like they are missing the nails. Does this look like a toe infection? Any ideas as to what this may be. The enclosure they had him in was pristine and they also had a humidifier blowing in so there is no way it could have been from being too dry an environment. Any info or advice would be much appreciated.

These are links to the pictures I have of them...if they are not clear enough let me know and I will try to get some better ones.

Keep it clean, maybe wash it with an antiseptic rinse. I'd dab some silva sulfa cream on it. See if you can get any better pictures, as it's hard to tell if it's infected.

A few of my WC deremensis came in with black toes - one had a missing/mangled claw. A couple swelled just a tiny bit - maybe 50% increase in size. But they all healed on their own.

Of course, if that swells a lot, take him to the vet for some local antibiotics.
