New Enclosure Misting?

Hey I am building a cage for my Jackson Chameleon and my soon coming Panther Chameleon. Should I get a misting system? The cage is 24 x 24 x 42. Is it a good idea my friend says that I probably should. He had a baby Jacksons, but it died so he knows about chameleons.

I'm guessing you're meaning that you have an enclosure for both the Jackson's and Panther...hopefully that's what you're meaning. Others may disagree with me, but if you are getting these two chameleons as youngsters, I would not setup an automated misting system yet. I like to hand spray when they are young so I can control the temperature of the water better and so I can be more careful in how the water is delivered. An all the sudden explosion of water on the little guys...if they are close to the nozzles, will stress and can even injure them if hit in the eyes. Once they get a little older...get an automated system for sure. Just my opinion.

You have separate enclosures for your chams, right? They cannot be housed together. I love the MistKing. It would easily run two cages.

Yeah they are in sepearate cages. My jacksons chameleon is an adult but my panther is a baby, but he isn't here yet.

I have to say that I love my MistKing setup, its easy convenient and has me covered if I can't get home over lunch. With that said, I do think JPowell brings up some good points. I say that because the water coming out of my mist nozzle tends to be cooler for a little while until the water standing in the line has been pushed out and the water from the heated resavoire so it would be nice to be able to ensure the temp. for younger chams. Regardless, I think they are well worth it whether it be now or later.
