New enclosure setup startup

Hello friends,

I just upgraded to the 24x24x48 reptibreeze up from the chameleon kit. I have a couple of different setups in mind. I found a fake olive tree in my garage after I finished setting up the enclosure . Do you think I should include it? let me know your thoughts.

Hi! Although it looks nice and would probably work, veiled chameleons eat plants so it’s better to use as many live plants as possible. It will help with humidity too. Also, as your Cham grows the branches may not be able to support his weight. Hope this helps :)

It’s really sturdy surprisingly and he won’t be eating these leaves they are tough I can’t even rip them. I’ll get him some real greens though here and there. I did make one crucial mistake though. I put the enclosure entrance by the mirror and I left the gate open to spray it down and i left the room for a second and I came back and he seen himself in the mirror when trying to escape! He turned pitch black and froze! I felt horrible but it was kinda funny at the same time. He is ok now. I snapped a quick photo.

Even if he can’t eat them he will still try haha. See the picture of mine with two bite marks out of the leaf below. I’d try to get live plants only sooner than later.
