New enclosure setups and revamp

In preparation for my two new chams that I should be ready to pick up by the end of the week, I'm starting to set up their enclosures. I've turned our spare room into a makeshift "Cham room" and I'm moving Zuri and Asha in there as well.

These photos are at the beginning stage, with just the plants inside and the 3 sides tarped off. I'm hopefully picking up my Mistking tomorrow which I'll install in all 3 enclosures. I'm going to keep updating this thread as I go. Enjoy everyone!

This is the females cage:

Looks good, could I just ask what the plant on the left is? With the overlapping leaves?

To be honest, I have no idea. I'm in the process of looking it up right now, but I got it in the tropical plants section that I got the scheffleras from.

Thank you, it's a lovely looking plant! :)

I love this plant. It's limbs are extremely sturdy and I misted it to see how well it catches water and it's just as good, if not better then schefflera! It's also a slow grower so if you can find one tall enough to fit your enclosure it'd be the perfect Cham plant. I've got. A sub-adult female meru going in there so it'll be perfect for her. I wish there were more than one at the store or I'd go back and get a few more!!

After getting my plants where I wanted them, I took the boards out and drilled a ton of small to medium sized holes in the bottom to allow for drainage. Large Rubbermaid totes are under them to collect the water

It seems like the most cost efficient and easiest way to do a drainage system. I'll be testing it out once I get my Mistking set up

Here's an update of the fully furnished cages. Mistking has arrived, but not set up yet. Waiting for a few more parts. Lights aren't set up either yet.

Here's the females enclosure:

It's scientific name is "Zamioculcas Zamifolia" aka the Zz plant. I'm going to look into some info on it and I'll get back to you

I have seen some information saying the ZZ plant is said to be toxic to children, cats, and dogs. So I would assume it wouldn't be good for your chameleon. I have also seen information that it is not toxic. So I'm. Not sure who to believe. But I would look into it more and decide for yourself.

Got this off google. All parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested. A number of other sites claims that this is a myth. It contains calcium oxalate. Needle-like calcium oxalate crystals could irritate different sensitive skin parts, mucosa

so would you suggest that I get a different plant then? The cham that is going in here doesn't munch on plants

If i was you i would. i don't like to take chances with another's life. it is alway a posibility that it could eat it. Just to be on the safe side i would get another plant.
