I just wanted to introduce the newest member of my chameleon family to the Forums. I have yet to come up with a name though. He is extremely shy until it's time to eat...and then his personality really comes out. He has been eating out of my hand since I got him on Friday. I'm taking a fecal to the vet tomorrow to make sure all is on the up and up. Just wanted to share!!

What a spectacular guy you have there! He's lucky to have you! Looking forward to hearing the name you choose for such a sharp looking fella

Thanks!! They average around 7 inches in length from what I understand. I still have not been able to decide a name for this guy Direwolf. I have name block apparently.

a tip man.
this species need quite a lot of humidity depending on where you live you may not want to be taking him out of his cage if the humidity outside doesn't match his needs.
cheers and well wishes

Thanks for the tip! Luckily where I live, it was 79% humidity outside today. Out of curiosity, what was your chosen method of caging with these guys? I like to see how others on the Forums decide to house different species.

I have being reason that the like big cages for their sizes due they are quite active compared to many other chameleons.
I believe in America a screen cage is the rule and since you got good humidity levels I do not see why not use a screen cage as well.
here in the north of Europe we use most of the time exo terra design terrariums, with the top made of full screen and a screen strip on front.
