I'm sure most people have noticed the new forums that were recently added. These new forums may change structure and/or names within the near future as we learn what works and what does not. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the site, please post in the feedback forums.
Round Table
This forum is reserved for moderated and prearranged discussions on chameleon related topics. More information will be posted in the forum when available. It could be a month or two before this forum sees any activity.
Advanced Topics
Discuss topics similar to conservation, systematics, taxonomy, evolution, and ecology. Not intended for common husbandry discussion or general chat.
Chameleon Genera
Questions on general chameleon care and husbandry are most appropriately made in the husbandry forums. This information is often similar between species and repeating it in multiple forums would be counterproductive to the site as a whole. The genus forums are intended for discussion of chameleon genera and species in nature. Topics such as geographic location, ecology, morphology, etc. are encouraged. Observations and dialogue between current and experienced keepers are welcome as well, but basic husbandry questions that a larger audience could benefit from most likely belong in a husbandry forum. There will be a natural overlap of information, but hopefully we can keep that to a minimum. Posts or threads may occasionally be moved from a genus forum to a husbandry forum, but rarely the reverse.
Groups
Special forums for melleri and parsonii have been added. I have no plans at this time to add additional species forums. There are existing and very knowledgeable communities that concentrate on these two species and I wanted to do what I could to encourage them to share with us their experiences. If these forums prove not to be very popular, they will be removed and their content absorbed into their respected genus forum.
Note: Junior members must first naturally progress to normal member status before posting in these forums.
