Hey all!
So I got a new friend today, and though I've been doing research for a couple years, now that I have her I have a few questions....
Let's get a little background. I work at....Petsmart.
Now don't grab the pitchforks, I promise I try and take care of all our animals to the best of my ability. I even got my store to stop putting soil with the chameleons!
But see, we got this girl in a few weeks ago, and her knee started swelling. The vet said it was MBD, but she wasn't getting better with treatments, so we took her to someone else. Turns out it was an abscess, and she needed her back leg removed stat. So we had it done. She's now happy, and a bit more healthy.
With animals like this at Petsmart, we can't sell them, we have to adopt them out to good homes. I saw the chance and took her home.
She has a nice 65 gal reptarium, lots of plants and even a couple Pothos for a boost in humidity. (Colorado gets DRY, so she also lives in a closet. A nice well lit, warm, curtained closet. With a Reptifogger.)
For those of you still with me, I salute you.
The real question is, what changes/adaptations should I make for a three legged chameleon, if any?
Have any of you had a three-legged, and if so were there any complications?
Thank you all so much for your time!
