The thing with the temp guns, it seems they only measure the object theyre pointed at, rather than the ambient temperature in that area. I'll try out the black tape though, do you just put it there when you take temp or leave it?

Thought i'd post a few pics of my guy. He was hiding in his tree and i didn't want to scare him too much, but he is settling in with more colors each day.

Wow he looks great James! My little guy does not show much color yet. I can't believe how much my guy has grown in just a week and a half, he just got finished shedding.

Wanted to post one more picture with added branches and moved around the lights to see if my branch situation is better or if i should change anything else around.

Ook, yeah like others have said seems like ambanjas take longer to brighten up. Especially at 4 months or so.

Do you have an empty pot you could invert and use as a pedestal underneath the schefflera? Elevating it would get it closer to the light and provide a bit more useful cover.

Good idea! sorry just saw this now. I'll definitely work that in somehow, it could use some more light for sure.

On a side note, do chams regulate uvb? Is it a problem if it's too close? My top branch is pretty close to the uvb fixture, but i never see him sit right under it. I also have foil around it to reflect more light.
