First i have to thank all the people thus far who have helped me out! this site is so great and so r the people!! thank you!! i do still have tons of questions to ask. i have been on here for a week straight asking people lotsa stuff n still need to know more...if there is anyone willing to spend time answering probably lots of dumb questions please contact me.His name is Buddy n he is 2 i think. he has been with us for a week now. we rescued him from a almost definite death. i did alota research b4 buying him so i was a bit prepared but nothing like when u have him home. lol. he is so awesome tho n i love him so much already n cant wait for my next one!! but first gotta make sure i do good by him!!

i do have pictures of him in my gallery i hope i did it right. my main question at this point is about his eating..he loves loves loves to eat n hunt!! at first he was eating about 20 very gut filled crickets ( apples oranges red peppers potatoes peaches) n dusted w calcium every day n calcium every other week n on off week a multi. but i was told to add more buggies n feed less so now he eats at 7 am 3 crickets n 2 butter worms then about 9 ish some romain lettuch which he now takes right from me. then through out day he eats about 4-5 more time same 3 crickets n 2 butter worms n i also have horn worms..he loves but dont know how often to give him those. so he eats about 12-15 crickets and about 8 butter worms a day. too much? he is about 2 im told. and when he sees me he goes to the bottom looking like he wants to hunt again!! i cant keep up. i was told he looked a bit skinny.

I let my adult male eat as much as he wants.

All my chams eat as much as they want, except for my females. but thats because they need to be regulated to reduce egg laying.

i am looking forward to getting a female, i wld like to get experienced enough to get a younger one n a female at that. We would like to become breeders so i have my work cut out for me so i can use any tips out there!! i know i gotta lotta work to do b4 i even attempt that tho. still i cant wait n look forward to learning about them all!! 38 eggs were laid, and they are due to hatch end of november/december timeframe.

Butterworms and hornworms should be given as treat due to their high fat content, but your doing good using crickets as a staple feeder! I usually use 60% crickets, and the other 40% I use katydids, painted lady butterfly's, mantids, butterworms, and about to try silkworms and hornworms out. I rotate between those using 2 of those w/ crickets usually... Unless I get lazy and forget to order more crickets, then it's kinda like a leftovers dinner lol

and hornworms are great for hydration. and they are so squishy!
