I would add a dimmer switch to your hood and make it so you can put a stronger bulb in, but be able to change the heat output without changing bulbs. Also misting should be done for at least 2 minutes at a time, it stimulates your chameleon to drink, however this is just the average, it really depends on what you view your chameleon thriving at.
