I've been wanting to get this project done for a while, finally got time to get the materials and get it done. The goal was to have something that looks good and works well. Isn't that always the goal.
I wanted to make a table that would except different size cages and catch all the water into a container so I could recycle it into my garden. The ground under my old set up was constantly wet.
Here you can see the old set up. Boards on blocks. I was using LLL drain trays to try and catch the water but getting them all sloped right was a pain.
Heres the new table. You can see how it is sloped to the back.
I used 6 mm coroplast sheets to drain the water off. I put a bead of caulking around the edges.
Here I mounted a gutter along the back that is sloped down on the other end.
I mounted 3/4 pvc pipe with 3/4 emt pipe inside for rigidity across the top.
This should allow for all the water that enters the cage to drain to the table.
I left about 1" or more around the cages and in front. I hope to be able to
open the bottom doors on the cages and just clean out onto the drain table and rinse.
