Oh man where can I get the multivitamin ? Will they also have the supplement without d3? I bought him at pets Mart
So what do people mean when you have to powder the crickets every time you feed the chameleon, but now I am hearing every two weeks for one and one week for another ? I'm confused now

Also as there feces what should I be looking for?

The pet store may not sell the calcium without d3 or the multivitamin so you might need to buy them online. Some keepers here use an all-in-one product called Repashy Calcium Plus that contains calcium, d3 and vitamins in low quantities. I have little experience with it but it might be something to look in to if you're finding supplementation difficult. I think most keepers here prefer the calcium with no d3 at every feeding, calcium with d3 once every two weeks and multivitamin once every two weeks route. The care sheet I posted has everything you need to know about that.
His droppings should be brown at one end and white at the other. Giving him a nice long mist might encourage him to go. Have you had any luck yet?

It's difficult to tell from the picture but is there any chance of him burning himself whilst he's climbing under the heat lamp? You should be able to hold your hand there without feeling burnt. A dripper would also help keep him hydrated and would be a great investment for your setup. I know it's a lot to take in so just ask if you have any more questions

Repashy can be bought on line! Everyone does things differently. If I were you, id go over to our sponser list, find one who sells the chameleon you have, give them a call and ask them for their supplementation schedules and brand suggestions. The sponsers are reputable, and will have a routine that has worked for them on more then just one chameleon, but generations of chameleons. Hope this helped
As for your moss issue, just ditch it. Buy a live plant, and put size appropriate (not edible) rocks over the soil. This will not only help with humidity, but will be enjoyed by your Cham. You can go to a local floral shop, tell them what plant you want, grown organically without pesticides. They should be able to hook you up. Mine did

That's good
you can go outside and collect sticks to put in your cage. I use sticks from my back yard - just make sure to get some they won't secrete sap and file down any sharp point that could hurt his feet. I use several different size and put them at all angle. I do not have a veiled, but most chemeleon cages require the same set ups. Let me grab a picture for you for a reference.

I would suggest getting a thermometer and hydrometer. For temp and humidity readings. 5 degrees to hot can make a big difference. Humidity readings are also very important, because to high of humidity can cause respitory infections.
It's been two days since your very first post about your veiled. You definitely need to get the ball rolling on adding sticks and foliage. Everyday your veiled spends without it he or she is only getting more stressed. I don't mean that in a mean or rude way at all, just go grab some sticks from your yard, and connect them in the cage. Cruise over to a petsmart or petco and buy some artificial vine. It's like $10. This would help your set up tremendously.

We don't mind answering questions, that's why we're here! The sponsers do know what they're doing so if you give them a call they'll be able to recommend the best product for you that's available in your region. I'm from the UK so the products I use may not be available to you. Alternatively you can buy the Repashy Calcium Plus online, it's widely available. I'm actually considering switching and giving it a try myself. If it's only been 3 days since a dropping then that's not bad. After a week I'd be worrying. The extra misting idea should help. You should be dusting the insects at every feeding with the appropriate supplement. I dust all my feeders except from butterworms which contain high levels of calcium. All crickets should be dusted because they contain a lot of phosphorous relative to the volume of calcium. I've always used this safe plant list http://www.flchams.com/safe_plant_list.asp but someone else might have a more comprehensive list you can use

Foliage means leaves. You need lots of leaf coverage so he has a place to hide. If he feels exposed then that will stress him out. I'd ask when you call what is best in the mean time. Check the sponsor list for those that are based in California and you might be able to buy supplements from their store rather than wait for delivery. Moss probably isn't as bad as other substrates but I would remove it to be safe. Moss needs a pretty high humidity to survive so it's likely it will die after a few weeks anyway. I use reptile carpet if you really want something on the floor. It can't be ingested and can be removed for cleaning.

I always bake my sticks. 200 degrees for about an hour, that should kill anything bad they may have on them. Foliage is leaves. I like to mix real and fake in my cages. You can get the soil at the store-I would just get a kind without vermiculite. I like organic soils myself.
