I just got my baby nosy be Panther Cham. last night! I am so very excited to be a cham mommy! I've done research nonstop on these forums but I still feel nervous about the best things for my cham. He was very accepting of his new home! He ate a cricket and drank some water, he loves his heat lamp!

Any tips? He's 2 1/2 months old (roughly.) Is that dark of a brown ok for him or a sign of stress? How often and how much should I feed him? what size crickets are good for him? does he need calcium powdered food everyday? when should I stop doing calcium everyday? is he too old for fruit flies? I'm sorry for so many questions, I just really want him to grow strong and healthy.

I've also been having trouble keeping the humidity above 60, any tips?

thank you everyone!!!

He will be stressed for a few days or weeks until he gets acclimated to the new surrounding and routine. A simple supplement schedule is repashy calcium plus lightly dusted on crickets, at his age he will be going through lots of small crickets around 15-20 per day. He may still take fruit flys but at his size now they aren't much of a meal, get some BSF or BB fly larvae and let them pupate and hatch chams his size love hunting fly's. Roaches also make a great feeder and are much easier to breed at home then crickets. For humidity as long as your misting 3x plus per day 60% relative is fine. An automated misting system will make your life much easier and his much better by allowing for proper hydration and eye cleaning. Have played around with misting durations and found mine really benefit from a daily 10 min long misting session plus a few more in the 3-5 min range.

You can watch while the mister is on and see how long it takes them sometime, they will usually start drinking first and then eventually rinsing out their eyes.
