New owner. Strange spots on the sides of chams back.

hey guys I'm concerned about the spots on my chams back, a friend gave me a good deal on the Cham and cage and I went out and bought a mister and food for the little guy, not sure on the age. Humidity ranges around 50-70 and temp ranges from 65 at the very bottom of his cage and 85ish in his basking spot. It's a 2x2x4 screened inclosure with the back and one side of it closed off to try to keep in some humidity and heat. (I live in ny and in the winter it gets a bit chilly and dry in my house.) like I said before the new yellow spots are concerning me and I'm wondering if there normal or something is wrong. Please help figure this out with me, anything I can do to make this guy live better and happier I'm willing to do. Thanks guys!

Look like odd coloring to me like an old burn from sitting too close to a light and the pigment just never returned properly to the skin. Do they look different at closer examination?

I started to think it could be because my light was a little close, I set it up a little higher, about 4-6 more inches above the mesh maybe that will help

Are they raised at all? Sensitive to touch? Any difference in behavior (lethargy, eating, etc.)?

I'm not sure if they irritate him or not, they don't appear to be raised, I have not had him long maybe a week or two tops so I am not sure if he is behaving differently. I got him large crickets when I first got him and I'm not sure if he ate them or not, although I fed him 2 or 3 crickets every day to every other day for that time I never saw him eat one directly. He looked at them never went for them tho. I went out yesterday and got small and medium ones thinking they may have been too big for him. I threw a couple of those in, again never saw him directly eat one. I have been hand feeding him super worms about 5 or 6 or so yesterday afternoon. Can I over feed them to him? Quite honestly it's really fun lol.

I agree. your chameleon looks like a female from the markings. The males have bumps(tarsal spur) on the back of their back heals, the females do not. Almost looks like there is a bump in the one pick, but need to see more pics of the back feet to determine for sure. If it is spreading, it could be some sort of fungus. I remember seeing a chameleon with something similar like that awhile back and it ended up being a fungus. Burns are usually blackish or gray in color. I would get your chameleon to a vet right away before it gets worse.
