New panther chammie! Dull colors and a bit skinny... Am I being a decent owner?

Yeah I will. This weekend I'm going to the craft store to get some thin floral wire to make a better habitat. Payday I'm going to get a bigger cage. Customcages is only acrylic so I don't want to get that. Him and the snake are being moved to the back room. It's an addition to the house that's the length of it so it stays a bit warmer back there.

I want to make more of a zigzag pattern so he's got more horizontal climbing space.
Thank you for the luck. I feel like I need it.

Update: Phillip went to the vet today!
He got x-rays done and had a stressful day. But I got lucky and the cage and plants were delivered while he was dropped at the clinic.

Verdict: Beginning stages of bone decay. Liquid calcium prescription. Bring him into the unfiltered sun once a day. Check bulb and make sure it's a wattage. Aggressive treatment and he should be fine.
Oh yeah.
Deeefinitely a boy :)
Also... New cage pictures! I need more jungle vine lol

:)

I literally put it together today from a smaller cage. Im working on it :) more jungle vine and a bird perch activity thing for outside was ordered from Amazon today. Two day shipping.
But there's a lamp pole to the left that has the uv lights clamped during the day. It's nightfall so I start bringing the light level down so he can sleep. Two incandescent lights for heat mostly. The uv and daylight bulb by zoomed. I have a ceramic emitter towards the bottom because we had a cold front and this back room can drop down to 50 during cold spells but his cage has been staying between 60-70 at night. I need new thermometer stickers.

I definitely want to utilize the top more and make it more "canopy like". Run some more fake vines along the top to help hold in that moisture.

I'm having a lot of fun. I took horticulture classes and love plants as well as reptiles. This is the first time I get to maintain a happy little ecosystem. I have had a vermihut worm farm for gardening so there are a small amount of potting worms in the soil to help with the plants.

I was also an avid bug and lizard collector as a child. This just feels natural and rewarding. ;-; I get everything I like. Lol.

You need many more branches of various sizes in that cage, starting from about 7 to 8 inches from the top all the way down. Then you need your heat source right above the top branch, far away enough that the top screen of the cage does not get hot. Touch the screen under the heat source with the back of your hand. If it feels hot to the touch it can burn him. He will also need more plant leaves in there to feel comfortable. They love crawling between the leaves and thinking they are invisible! Makes them feel at home!

Yeah I have some more jungle vines ordered. Like I keep saying. Just set the cage up yesterday whil Phil was @ the vet and moved up from a cage 1/4 of the new cages size. I definitely want a lux canopy area. Right now I have the light source near the highest branch kind of

Okay cool :) I'll have to order a stand of some sort. Drop ceilings. I don't want to put too much stress on the little aluminum beams
