This was taken today about 5mins ago. Some look like this and some have solid dark spots. What stage is this eggs in? If anyone knows, in what month should it look like this?

It looks like there is a slit on the bottom left, the baby is starting to emerge! You should have a baby soon (if i am right lol)

No thats just the sand on the outside of the egg. Do you see the blood vessels though? In what month should they look like this, with the blood vessels?

Somene will key in here soon that has experience with eggs. The egg looks healthy to me. No mold and has the moister just right it looks like. No raisin looking effect which BTW is okay at mild forms. But this looks like a healthy egg. Just don't shift or rotate them in anyway.

But this should have some senior member input here soon. 5 day weekend for some people.

Your eggs will hatch when they are ready to hatch. Patience is a virtue when dealing with chameleon eggs.

I can't tell you at what stage do chameleon eggs look a certain way... it's been waaaaaaaaaaaay too long since I've worked with any seriousness with egg laying species. I will say that it's alive and it looks good.

I will give you this tip though: stop opening your egg container! Opening the lid causes dramatic temperature and humidity flucuations that cause the shell to become almost rubbery in effect. When it's time to hatch, the baby can not break through the "rubbery" shell with their small egg tooth and they die in the egg. Keep that lid on!

Good luck with your eggs. How far along are they?

It has been about 5 months since they were laid. I feel like they are not as far along as they should be though. This is my first time and I thought the blood vessells would be gone by now. Do you see the blood vessels the whole time they are in the eggs or do they disappear at a certain time? The only time I open the lid is when I add a little more water, thats when I took this picture.

I remember my first time... ;)

As you probably know, average incubation times are 6 to 9 months and from what I can tell from that one pic is they are coming along nicely! Pink. Plump. Good veins. You'll see those veins pretty much until they hatch. I'm also a big fan of keeping eggs at slightly cooler temperatures as I find the babies are stronger in the long run, so don't panic if they aren't hatching at 6 months. Yeah, you can boost that heat and cause them to hatch now, but are they really healthy!?

The only time I open the lid is when I add a little more water, thats when I took this picture.

Oh that's fabulous then! No worries.

Again, good luck! Keep pacing. Let us know when they start sweating.
Cheers!

The room temperature is about 72F at all times. Is that ok. Will this make them take longer to hatch, since the temperature is on the lower side?

yes they will take longer to hatch on a lower temp , but on your last post i left a post to so go check it out ahaha im not writing it again ahah but if you need anything just ask me iv done 2 batches of veild chameleon eggs and i goter down pact ahhaha

They are just fine!

Your eggs are doing great! Don't worry about them and just let them be. Hopefully your container is such that you can see through part of it to see if anything has hatched. Don't keep opening the container. You want a stable environment as someone else stated. They have broken diapause and are developing as they should. They look like they are progressing as they should for a nine month hatch time. You don't need fruit flies for a couple of months. Things are going really well. It's just hard to wait. I would not play with the temperature much either. A degree or two at the very most. The fact that they look the way they do means you are doing things right. It's so hard to wait!

How many months ahead of time should I start culturing my FF. I will order from the link above. It starts out with 2 culture cups. I need enough to feed 41 babies. What do you think, when should I start getting them ready? I kind of need a quick answer in case I need to cancel my order.
