New roach babies

My dubia roaches had their first babies since I started to try breeding them last month. I was getting worried that they were not going to breed but I got them to do it. I now have about a dozen to 15 little roaches, didn't count them. I am so exited.

Nice! It took my discoid colony what seemed like forever to start but once it did.... Happy happy way less crickets in the house.

I just started an orange head roach colony last month, myself. I was also worried that they weren't breeding until I saw the first babies yesterday. I was so excited that I almost made a post about it, too =)

Isn't it funny how hobbies change our perspective so much? Who know we'd get so excited about seeing roaches breed inside our houses?

What are you feeding yours? Care to share your setup?

I'm in the same boat. I started with a very small amout. 2 adult females, 1 adult male and 9 large nimphs. I thought that wasn't enough so I bought an additional 10 adult females and 5 adult males along with 100 babies for feeders. I'm still waiting for the new babies to come. I'm really hoping it will be soon. My tote is at 85 - 90 degrees. I put in orange slices and made my own chow. Hope I'm doing it right.

Just went to look at my Dubias. The male was doing with little dance and then him and a female were doing it dubia style. Guess I'll be having some babies soon myself.

I am not feeding any off so I just feed them carrots, greens, and potato. My setup is just a rubermaid bin with egg create. I have it in my grauge because the weather is almost warm enough for them to breed, I just have a old heat pad on the bin.

I started with only a dozen roaches about 3 males and the rest female. I started because they got to big to feed my cham, he wouldn't take them, so I like Ill start a colony.

Im mostly exited because I have been trying for about a month and a half. I thought they were never going to do it. It was easier to have my three babies then the roach babies.

I bought a dozen adult dubias over a year ago, thinking to make a little colony to feed a tarantula I bought around the same time. Well, the spider rarely ever eats, so I figured I had to get something that'd actually eat the roaches, and that's where my new panther buddy came in. Hopefully he starts to take more of a likening to them soon cause I've got thousands and I'm already sick of buying him crickets by the dozen.
