Just AWESOME!

Good job

Thanks for the comments. Almost done with the ventilation system. Made some minor modifications and going to add coco substrate.

If I were you I wouldn't put Eco earth in, it's a hassle to clean and can cause health risks to your chameleon. Although if you put in a drainage system with good viv soil and add some more bushy plants, that would be pygmy chameleon paradise(only chameleon that truly benefits from soil).

Yea I don't think they necessary benefit from substrate but I don't think it's necessary detrimental to their health either. It's more of an aesthetics item for me. I'm ok with the added work to clean. I also have various Isopods springtails to assist in cleanup. Thanks for your comments.

Wow, that's a great looking setup! You may want something bigger for a panther, no matter how big my enclosures are, I've always got plans for next size up I want to build. Lol. I may have overlooked it in your description, but I didn't see it listed in your lighting description. Do you have a UVB light? And what will you be doing for humidity control?

Thanks yea I'm not sure on the panther. I really had my hopes set on one but at the same time I won't house an animal in something inappropriate. I may start it in here and move to a screen cage in the future. I may decide to go with a smaller species. I plan to purchase the 12% Arcadia T5 bulb this week and have Dubai colony in the works. As far as humidity I am currently maintaining apx 65-75. I have a fan setup and can add more blowing direct air as needed. These terriums really are extremely easy to add more or less ventilation as needed. Honestly I see no issue dialing in humidity with a screen top, I think the Exo,s get a bad wrap in-necessarily. Thanks for the comments.

The 12% isn't really necessary for Chams, those are more for desert lizards. I've read conflicting opinion on it but some people say the 10 and 12% can be harmful. If you go with the Acadia get the 6% instead. Although, in general the reptisun 5.0 UVB is the most highly recommend for Chams. (The reptiglo 5.0 is also popular)

Thanks for the comments. I've also read most of the reviews around UVB needs. I plan to get a UVB tester so I can assure when bulbs require replacing there seems to be a lot of mis info on these reptiles, I really wonder why.

So I pulled the trigger on a panther today. They said he is about 10 months old

So far letting him drink and chill and will try cup feeding tomorrow.

More pics. I am going tomorrow to get a couple large pothos to add for more cover. I have a new 8bulb 24 inch t5 light to replace my 36 inch so I have room for a basking lamp. My heat gradient is 82-85 at the top and around mid 70's at the bottom. Humidity is around 35-40%. I may have to add some plexi on top to raise the humidity.

Ok new pics with new pothos, smaller light 4 ft 6 bulb grow and zilla halogen mini dome basking lamp. One question is 85-87 enough for basking? Or do I need more heat.

Ok finally got soil and additional vines. Also have added two computer fans for ventilation. The coco substrate really helped raise the humidity. Also added tons of springtails to the substrate. Ferdinand is eating 8-10 crickets or roaches and pooping away. Poop looks solid white and brown. I am removing all poop as I see it.

Thanks for looking.
