How old is the veiled and what's the temp. Try filling out the how to ask for help form so we get a complete idea.

You don't need both of those UVB bulbs.

He is about 8 months old.
Temps at night r upper 60's and during day in basking area about 90 80-85 in suning areas at top of cage and around 70 at mid to bottom.

And the bulbs r for the plants as much as the cham. Its a two bulb fixture and went with a repti glo to cover more area with light for plants and cham.

No comment on the actual question?

If you want lights for your plants, buy a 6500k plant bulb. More UVB isn't always better.

It looks good other wise, but maybe a little more coverage on the bottom would be better.

they are screw in bulbs they dont cover any more area than a tube bulb would. if it is really a problem i can swap one out for a regular daylight or plant bulb i guess.

The Reptiglo is over kill, but the rest of it is great!

pssh-Why in the world would one want more coverage on the bottom?

yes screw in reptisun 5.0 and reptiglo 5.0 in a two bulb fixture. the newer ones without the previous problems. same light less watts.

why ditch? alot of people dont seem to like them but only for previously fixed problems. whats the general complaint about these?

ya i was told that. they say if the date is 1-9 or newer there ok. mine are both that date and newer. that problem is supposed to be fixed.

the repti-sun has a piece of paper inside. I beleive its an add for other products of theres. look at bottom right corner of it and there will be a date. needs to be 01-09 or newer. mine said 01-09.

I was wondering about your dripper. Do you have it dripping directly into a pipe? Does the cham drink right from it? I have all of my drippers placed over plants so they can drink from the leaves with drainage on the bottom.

I say more bottom cover because in a separate thread he said that cham was skitish and I figured it would make that cham feel safer. Am I wrong to assume that?

I dont have any pictures. I can take some, but I dont like having to upload my pictures onto the computer. I suppose I can take a picture of my females smaller cage with my phone and send you a pm if you want?

serenitystarlite - The drip does go straight into the pipe. He hangs his head directly under the drip and soaks until hes had enough. seems to work really good and he seems to enjoy it, unlike misting which still seems to piss him off. I still mist enclosure once a day heavily.

OOOst16 - fair enough. i will watch closley and post any and all problems if any arise. Thanks for ur concern though.

pssh - please do i would love to see ur enclosure. As far as ground cover I leave it fairly open for feeding and cleaning. The top is dense and he can hide very good when he wants. Thats both shaded and unshaded. Today he is actually looking better, better color staying out more. I'll keep watch but he seems to be calming down and slowly taking to his new home.
