New setup!

So this is my DIY Habitat!

I'm going to add some of that bagged mulch for the bottom and add some netting on the sides for climbing.

And the MistKing is on the way along w/ the Reptisun 5.0

This is for a Male Ambilobe Panther!

It has:
75w day
75w night
24" Reptisun 5.0
MistKing (Ultimate Value Misting System)
Schefflerra arboricola
Dracaena Fragrans
Hibicus (when they are back in season)
Misc GardenRidge Vines
Bamboo Lengths

looks very nice! A couple of things...some branches and vines toward the top closer to the lights. Under white basking about 8-10 inches down. Red light not necessary and no lights on at night. If you are worried about temps being too cold at night(they can take temps into the low 50's) then get a little ceramic heater. Lights are really not a good idea inside the cage either but being wood on the top and not screen most likely you should not have any problems with him climbing on the top. What about misting and getting moisture in side the lights?

if they ingest it, they can become impacted.

ditto on more vines and no mulch..Also, a wood bottom might get nasty since it will get wet several times per day when the mistking goes on. Unless you've sealed it. some kind of plastic or screen bottom would be better

I'm working on it... Still need to get my Mistking setup in the habitat and the UVB bulb... and then i'll be gone for Spring break so no one will be a round to take care of him for 7 days soo i'm thinking as soon as I get back, New Panther!

very nice cage, though i would add some more stuff to the top for basking.

Thanks! I figure i'll get that reptile carpet stuff and seal the bottom plank. The rest of the wood has been treated!

Ive used the carpet stuff. I liked it. made cleaning easier. just pull the carpet out, shake it off, wash it down, let it dry, put it back.
just keep in mind about drainage.

holy crap! My eyesight is getting worse and worse. I did not even see the screen with my glasses on!! lol!

Drainage.

Maybe a series of recessed tubes that all converge into on then use a pump to pump the excess drainage into the live plants idk i think ill see which way the water moves and cut a groove into the wood to drain

Updates!

Added Some Bamboo that I lashed together for a basking perch! and added some vines! Still need a Hibiscus for that front left corner!
