Hey everyone. I've been a long time lurker, but first time poster and have been on the fence about getting one, but I finally decided to jump in with the rest of you. I reserved a male designer cross from screameleons and they said they sould have some in 3-4 weeks. Looking forward to join the chameleon community!

No, not yet. I wanted to wait until it gets closer to actually having him here. I don't think I could handle looking at an empty chameleon cage for 3-4 weeks lol.

Haha I hear ya. Do you have a general idea or anything though? I'd be intersted in hearing it :D

Well, again, screameleons offer a starter kit that comes with pretty much everything you need. It even comes with an automatic misting system, which pretty much sold me on it.

Oh ok. I haven't checked out their kit but just hear about it from time to time. I'm sure they have just about everything you'd need in it. Do you know if you want live plants in there or not?

I'll probably add one or two, to help with humidity and make it feel somewhat more natural.

Edit: http://shop.screameleons.com/portal/tabID__3365/alias__Screameleons/site/ItemID__3559/3365/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabID=3365&alias=Screameleons&site&ItemID=3559&3365 is a link to their cage setup if you want to check it out. They even have a video of all the stuff it comes with and how to put it together.
Ohhhhh, I've seen this before lol. And I'm pretty sure I seen the video too. It was a while back and I was trying to figure out how to install a misting nozzle in a screen cage. And I think it's their video that explains poking a hole into the top and running the tubing through it for the habba mist right?

Congrats on joining the group! I just got my chameleon and set up from Screameleons as well. I had the cage and everything set up for about 3 weeks before I got my little guy. Good luck and enjoy!
