he is 1/2 years old and no his mouth is open when he is scared or fired somtimes

How does he look dehydrated? His eyes are nice and full (even though he was fired up and a little stressed).

Maybe I looked at the photo wrong...just from the second pic he looks dehydrated to me, but it could be the pic quality!!

Afterall you did ask for everyone's opinion, so he gave you his honest opinion, I'm sure that many chameleons give off the affect of dehydration, but maybe you can give him showers? Maybe he just looks dry.

Looks like you got yourself a top-notch red tamatave. Looks really good! How old is he? You should change his name to FIRE or Blaze, something that suits him more... Do you have any intentions on breeding or studding this guy out? If so i have a female that is almost mature that i would love to stud out!

His mouth has been checked out by many vets. They all say its normal. Many big-time breeders such as chameleons northwest also stand next to me about that

I think he looks in great shape!
legs look really straight, I don't sese any edema or gout
weight looks good
no burn marks or scars!
I think he has been well taken care of and its nice to see you can/will handle him!! (But we all know my feelings on that subject!!) (yes, I handle all mine at least daily!!)
