New to Chameleons and their stubborn ways

Ohhh okay, I apologize kinyonga, I overlooked that part. So I'll dice up the vegis and fruit and put them in the Cricket Keeper for them to fill up on. I'll also do that with the Mealworms I have. Thanks so much! (y)

Not that I have to explain myself, but I am disabled and a lot of unplanned personal crap just happened around the time I got my new Chameleon, so if I seem a bit scattered brained, that's why. I appreciate the patience that some of you have with me. :)

I've read that some veileds eat fruits and vegetables. But I believe that what was suggested to you is that you feed (gutload) the crickets with the green leaves, vegetables, and fruits.

Its been a long time since I've kept veildes but back then we fed romaine lettuce and im sure a few other veggies. I just clipped it to the cage and let them have at it. It was really nice to be able to use romaine if you were out of feeders for the day.

You said.."My only question is... Is where do you place it in the enclosure? I have yet to see him down on the floor of his enclosure, even in the one Ijust took him out. Should I attach a feeder dish up by his basking shelf? Also, should it be a concern if I see the crickets feeding on it?"...since your chameleon is a veiled you can put the same greens, veggies and fruits in the chameleons cage once it is a few months old because they eat those same things sometimes in addition to the insects they eat....and it does double duty because any free ranging crickets, superowrms, roaches will also eat the same things.

You still need to feed/gutload the insects in their own containers too though...just in case your having a brain glitch. I have brain glitches too sadly. :)

Lol @ brain glitches kinyonga!

My enclosure is on a table about 30" off the floor in a low traffic corner of a room. He hasn't been down on the floor yet, but from what I've been told from others, that's a good thing.

I went out today and got a bag of mixed greens that has Kale, Cabbage, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, and Radicchio (Contains No Iceberg, heard that is a no no for Chameleons). I diced it up along with some strawberries and watermelon. Then put it in a small container and threw the Mealworms in it so they would munch on it. My only question is, should I put them (Mealworms with diced goodies) in the fridge or leave out? Thanks again!!
My guy is loving the new enclosure by the way! He's roaming all over the place! (y)

I wouldn't put the mealworms in the fridge.
Don't use cabbage, broccoli or Brussels sprouts too often. Dandelion greens are a much better choice.
