I have a beautiful little girl veiled chameleon name lola! She's about 6 or 7 months old! I made the decision to have her spay around 5 months old because didn't want to give up her eggs! She recovered very nicely! My main question is I recently introduced live plants to her tank because she was chomping on the plastic plants and I wasnt going to have her get impacted but she isn't eating as many crickets as she normally does and shes definitely eating the plants which is fine, I'm just wondering if she getting the right amount of nutrition with her not eating as many crickets? Sry I know this is very vague. It's late

That depends, are you gut loading your crickets? And you should be dusting your crickets with calcium without d3 every feeding. A multivitmanin twice a month and calcium with d3 twice a month.

Welcome to the forums. I have a little girl veiled named Lola too. What kind of plants are you using? Have you tried feeding her greens such as collards, dandelion, kale, endive, mustard and turnip? My veileds like greens and I also give them small slivers of fruits every now and then. Greens and veggie are good for the, but fruit to them is like ice cream to us, just a little once in awhile. What other feeders do you offer her besides crickets? It’s best to use a variety of well gutloaded feeders. My veileds also love hibiscus leaves and flowers.

I do exactly that! I dust every day without d3 do the d3 dust twice a month and the vitamins twice a month! Plants are pothos and umbrella tree shes a thick little girl! I've had her she was the size of my pinky! I have her in a 30lx30h,18wide plen air mesh! I have a 36 inch t5 high output light and 100 watt heat bulb! Temp in basking is between 85-88 usually humidity stays steady at 50 percent mostly! I worked at Petco for 4 years and was the aquatics and reptile specialist but first time parent and am just be overly cautious
That's the one thing I haven't done is the fruits and veggies I've been meaning to but money is tight for me right now it's on my list very shortly! The only other thing iv tried is waxworms the past couple days she ain't having it and she ate 2 or 3 discoid roaches but that was a while back! My vets name is Dr. Mike Kern at advanced pet care in spring florida! Where is the best place to purchase safe greens for her? Appreciate the help jannb and wildwilson

Buy your greens at a store that sells organic. Do not use any fruits or vegetables that have a posibility of chemicals used on them, and wash them well before feeding. I have jannb's Lola's brother Lil Louie...he is 4 months old.
I was just at publix looking at the greenwise items but they didn't have what I was looking for so I'm going to whole foods later this week! I'm wondering if that's why she goes to the bottom every so often looking for the veggies appreciate the help

I'm 32 and dont have any kids and I really dont plan on having kids so she is my child and I took on the responsibility of ownership and that's just the name of the game! Her value increased quite a bit though lol she is worth every penny especially after working at a petstore for some time and the lack of care those animals receive not my little girl
