He might be going through his 'teenage stage' or he might be having some internal medical issues. You might want to consider going to a vet just to get him checked out and possibly tested for parasites. It never hurts to be in the know ;) Good luck

The aggression issue is just a veiled being a grumpy veiled. The mouth open is sometimes like a dog panting. Since they don't sweat they need to allow evaporation (the warmer water molecules evaporate first). Check your temps. Chams seem to be the least adept reptile at moving into or out of the heat to thermoregulate. If the temps seem to be ok, I wouldnt worry too much about it. Temps arent perfect in Florida where they have invaded quite well. If you are still worried about it, or he seems to be getting dehydrated, try just raising the light up a little or lowering his basking spot a bit to lower the temps a degree or two. Since he is purposely loosing water, make extra sure he is getting plenty.

How do you tell by the legs?
The back of his/her hind feet have or don’t have spurs. If the spurs are present(used for mating purposes in males) then it’s a boy, if they are not present then it’s a girl. If you do end up having a female I’d start reading all about lay bins and proper care as they are much differently cared for then the males and the egg laying process and recovery is very important.
