New trick or weird behavior?

I have a 7 month old Veiled male. I'm on top of all important aspects of husbandry - lights, cage, temps., water, nutrition, etc.- so when I was doing my daily watering and misting this afternoon insted of running away from my mister like he always does, he came toward it and went as far as to walk into it (I did not move it toward him and I did not allow it to get directly in his face). He even opened his mouth and tried to drink the mist. Is this kinda thing normal? I expected him to finally realize I am gonna mist and drip everyday, but for him to come for it like a dog drinking from the hose? His poos have been quite normal so I know he wasn't dehydrated, so why? Was it just his way of playing or what? On a side note, I have done a few "showers" for him a month or so apart and he did enjoy them without running or freaking out.

how long have you had him for? he is just getting used to you :) mine will drink out of a turkey baster when you approach him with it. they just see it as an easy chance for them to drink.

I've had him since he was about 3 1/2 months old. He's never really just came right out of his bush like that for water. Normally he takes off like i'm spraying him with acid or something. A couple of months ago I realized using warm water was the way to go for misting, but he still never cared much for it. Now he's all over it. Who knew?! Oh and it is pretty cute, next time i'm gonna snap a pic!

Two of mine did this last week when I was watering the plants. My little one cam running as soon as he seen the water pouring out. Like you said....it's like a dog drinking water from a hose. LOL

Yeah. Every now and then i will have one come running. Happened today with my Teeko, also who usually hides, came running and just drank and drank. I suppose just like us, every once in awhile they get really thirsty. You do realize tomorrow he will run away again right? lol.
