New Veiled Chameleon

Hi guys, image.jpg

Three days ago I received my first veiled chameleon from LLLreptiles and he has been acting great! I just wanted some advice on the cage setup and what I should add or what I should take out. On the bottom I cut out a shammy to soak up some of the the water and its nice because I can take it out and wash it and reuse it, I also have a water dish to catch the water from my dripper system when I use it. The rest of the cage is furnished with sticks, vines, and a hammock. I also ordered him a live ficus tree but it won't be here for a couple more days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Newbee too

Newbee too. I love your set up. Mine came with a cage/tank half that size. I think it is ok for now but will be getting a new one soon. If you find some good info please pass it on to me I don't really know much except what I have read over the last couple days.

It looks pretty good to me from the picture. I think it could use more foliage, but since you said you ordered a ficus that should cover that aspect. Not sure if he would use the hammock since healthy chameleons usually like to hold onto solid branches.

If you copy and paste the following form with answers it would help in validating your setup:

Also, you could check out the official veiled care sheet below:

He looks like a very healthy chameleon and I wish you the best.
