Looks good! I agree more foliage to hide in and is he/she going to be out of the way of heavy foot traffic or constant distractions in that spot? Personally I had to move my viv 5x just to get the right temps/RH coupled with a place somewhat out of the way from noise, vibrations, light at night, etc. Those things can really stress them out. Just something to possibly consider :)

I would suggest a hanging Pothos plant. They grow really fast and have awesome vines that you can wrap around your enclosure for some more coverage. They also don't require that much water. I also would put in more horizontal pathways. Then it should be perfect. Just make sure your putting some river rock over the soil in the plants so your cham cant eat it.

Thanks i will see how he gets on in this spot if he looks stressed i will move him although it's our living room it doesn't get used much
I will get some more vines in there and was thinking of a hanging photos just hope the garden centre has them is there any good plants that flower

So i think I'm all done iv put 4 live plants in and rapped the pots with fake ones i also added 2 more vines as suggested
Gonna put boy george in there tomorrow as I'm in all day and can keep an eye on temps and make any adjustments i need
If anyone can see anything else i can do please let me know

what uv percentage did you end up getting? if its the 12% make sure he cannot get closer than 12inches from it at anytime.

Thanks they are fantastic i didn't want to do it to much like yours but i had to have the background it totally transforms it but could not get a big anough size so had to put 2 together
I also went for just vines will probably chop and change in time
I will measure from the light thanks for that as i did get the 12% i might change to a 6% as a couple of the plants go right near the top
I did wanna ask you what watt heat bulb you use I'm gonna get a ceramic one tomorrow

Don't know why they go on sideways.
Very Nice!
Hey Mike, Hibiscus is really beautiful but they do get white flies easy(micro pests that chams don't eat) Jasmine vine is just as good and really smells great when blooming. How did ya put the stone look backing up ? Also if you do hang plants make sure you mount some kind of strong(non flexible) cross member on top of the cage so the plant weight doesn't rip your screen. Speaking from experience. : (
Thanks for sharing

I will look for the jasmine vine at the garden centre thanks
The backing is what comes in the exo terras I copied xcrystalx on that it was my best investment I think I was going to just use some adhesive but I cut it to a tight fit so I just wedged it in
As for the hanging plant the top screen is metal wire mesh so it should hold
On another note I just saw your pic of your Madagascar day gecko very nice I have a breading pair of them they are beautiful geckos mine just laid on the 1st march

i was only joking with you :p.it looks really nice and your cham will love it ;)
im upgrading to the large 4ft wide in a few months.looking forward to that.

yeah ive put 2 of the backgrounds together also.it really makes a difference to the whole setup.
for heat bulbs i just use a 40watt philips spot bulb.wooden vivariums do hold more heat so start with a lower wattage at first.you dont want a high wattage that stays dim all the time.its best to have a lower wattage working to its fullest so that its nice and bright all the time :)

That looks awesome :D Your boy is gonna love it! I also LOVE that name BTW!! As far as micro pests go…your going to get them with almost all live plants. I have pothos, baby tears, schleflera, orchids and out of all of them regardless of how well I washed them, the pothos never failed to produce those damn bugs

Yes I started out with a pair too. The pet store I got them from told me male and female. They were 2 males and Abduhl my current male killed the other one. I was naive back then and thought the store should know what they were talking about. Live and learn. I have had Abduhl for almost 10 years now. Can you send a pic of your pair would love to see the female too Thanks

thats a Dracaena deremensis its lovely cos its a big plant with a small one sprouting next to it so you havent got a bare space up the steam
Yes I always use dimming stats
