Yes I started out with a pair too. The pet store I got them from told me male and female. They were 2 males and Abduhl my current male killed the other one. I was naive back then and thought the store should know what they were talking about. Live and learn. I have had Abduhl for almost 10 years now. Can you send a pic of your pair would love to see the female too Thanks

Pet shops really don't have a clue all they care about is making money
My male is really friendly and will eat off my finger but my female just hides all day and only comes out if no one is in the room and at night

The 1st pic is my male 2nd and 3rd is my female and the 4th and 5th is they're baby

Oh thank you thank you!!!! I can see why they had trouble sexing the female though I can not see a difference. No excuses however they should have known. I was really upset when I lost the other one.

im not to sure on sexing i have read its something near they're bum
im dont no if its the same with all the male and females but shes quite a bit bigger than him
iv only had 1 baby at the end of september and i have got 2 eggs now which she laid march 1st

I wish you weren't in the UK I would buy a female from you. Abduhl is lonely. He is very tame. I have had him so long he is quite used to people .I often hold his feeding cup for him if giving meal or wax worms. I have never held him however because their skin is delicate.
Wouldn't want to be a worm in his cage He's an aggressive eater.
My chams are mild compared to him

You have been getting hammered lately with the weather. I watch a youtube channel every morning for world weather and news and the UK has had some severe storms.
I have always been afraid to pick him up since I heard a long time ago that they lose their tails as a survival technique. Obviously I wouldn't intend to grab him but they are so quick. So that's why I don't handle him.
I sent you a friend request so we can share photos. My newest cham Memphis is going to be super colorful He is only 3.5 mo. old and already showing great colors.Take a look when you can
