Newbie, Hello Everybody!

They're really amazing creatures. I'd recommend a male to get a hang of things...you'll want another one in no time! Thats just my personal opinion, I actually have many other animals that are all male...I think I see a trend! And you'll always learn something new here, kudos to you doing the research before buying!

Yes. The starter kit is good for babies and adult. The ultimate is for misting a lot of cages, if you think you'll be having more than 10 cages it is wise to invest in the ultimate.

i can only see myself having 1 cage.. but i say that now :), but i could never see myself having more then 2. i think i want a True Blue Nosy Be Panther and a Veiled.

Nice choices I will talk to you in a year when your upgrading to the ultimate with 20 somewhat cages :p. Jk the starter kit is perfect for you :)

I don't use a heat source at might. My temps in the house don't drop below 60.
When I had them in the basement which was colder than where they are now, I used a 100 watt, but hung it from the ceiling so it wasn't too close to the cage. But have since moved them upstairs and use a 75 with a dimmer so I can lower the temps. I like having the dimmer, to control the temps easier. As far as supplements I use rep-cal and herptivite. You don't need colored bulbs. Some people on here use a regular house bulb. I prefer the higher wattage with dimmer being in the colder climate with large cage.
