I think Veileds in general are by far the most territorial and aggressive. As babies they are cute and love climbing on your hand and up your arm and feed right from your hand. Then a few months go by and they hiss at your hand or when you open the cage to feed/clean them. Well thats what I hear my girl is like this now. They grow up so fast.

A thing that many people do is that they buy red lights for them at night for heat. DONT buy red heat lights! They need complete dark for them to get their proper amounts of beauty sleep.

I would say the same thing. Some ppl can get their veilds to come around anyway tho

Not all veilds are grumpy. Also to answer your question about supplies. Get the best possible components you can. Get a mistking automated mister. It is a huge time saver and gives peace of mind. Lighting: lightyourreptiles.com has some of the best fixtures, bulbs and customer service. Larry is a guru for reptile lighting. Household light bulbs from 45w-75w can be used for heat. No need for fancy bulbs there. Live plants will hold humidity better than plastic and look much better imho. Have fun setting up your enclosure
