Newbie

Hi everyone!
New here. I don't have a chameleon yet but wanting to get one. I do have reptiles already. I have the following 4 beardies,2 house geckos,2 green anoles, 2 long tail grassed lizards,4 lropard geckos,3 corn snakes and 2 chinese water dragons.

I would love more information on chameleons. I have wanted them for years so I decided to research them and which I have but I worry I have forgot something. I would love to know if there is one I should start with?
I know which one I would like but I want to make sure first I have everything right. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forum!

Its a good idea to research chameleons before getting one....they are not the easiest of lizards to keep. Here are some sites to get you started...

Panthers and veileds are usually recommended as starter chameleons...but they are not the biggest. (Parson's, Meller's and the large morph Oustaleti are the biggest.)

I purchased a Jackson on a spur of the moment type situation while I was hunting a bearded. Couldn't find a bearded and the Jackson was very adorable. I thought the research I did on the beardeds would translate over pretty well - it didn't lol. I'm getting caught up on everything still and have finally completed the screen enclosure I've been working on. Hopefully he'll be in it in the next couple of days

I have question. Is there any chameleon a good starter one. I know that might sound bad but I don`t want to spend like 500.00 on one that is much harder then another one. I know that chameleons need a like the air flow, a dripper,misting. climbing braches,food dishes,lights, humidity and of course food.

i'd go for a panther, easy to look after and stunning to look at

Panthers can be gorgeous, it's very true, but a veiled would typically be much cheaper and is often considered a good starter chameleon. They can be quite pissy when older, though, even if you might have a very sweet juvenile to begin with.
