Just curious how many people here watch college or pro football??
If so whats your favorite team...

I don't follow football here in the US but have followed the Mike Vick story closely.......how can you say 'free Mike Vick' after the cruelty he has inflicted on animals?

Yes im aware of what he did, but hes one amazing football player.

GREEN BAY PACKERS!!!

Fingers crossed here that they will decide to let Favre play out his contract as a starter... They would have to be stupid not to.

And dude... Mike Vick is a chump that should never be allowed to put on a Jersey agian. He should be attacked by dogs. Lost all Respect for Him... He WAS a good player as far as I am concerned.

I personally could care less about football, but I can't help but give a shout out to UNLV Runnin' Rebels!

49er are on a come back this year, woo hoo! Maybe? I hope? Anyone?..?..?..? Can’t get much worse :p… Heck yea TY, U-N-L-V GO FIGHT WIN.

As for Vick he needs to stay locked up and banned from the league. He and everybody else like him who glorifies the ‘thug/gangster/drug’ lifestyle while being a role model to our youth needs to be banned. Kids saying I want to grow up and be like Vick makes me sick… You want to grow up to breed pit bulls to fight? You want to be a thug, associate with criminals, do drugs and blow money on worthless $hit rather than do some good.?.?. Sheesh, where the heck did I go wrong? Mannnnn being honest, responsible and charitable is sooooo lame, right?

mike vick is a sob story, no one has ever blown it like he blew it. he was one of the top 10 paid athletes in the nfl, and now he owes millions in legal fees, he lost his homes, all his cars, for NOTHING

and on top of that he is a SNITCH

on that note

GO BUCCANEERS

GO BUCCANEERS

Well It looks like the Packers Management is making a big mistake... and after 16 seasons of nothing but excelent playing and loyality, We are going to turn our back on "The Packer" a sure shot, for a Rookie (Aaron Rodgers) who has played 2 games in his entire career and has a long history of injuries in practice. Stupidest decision the Pack has made in my lifetime.:confused::mad::confused: It just makes no sense... Who would you put your money on? The Rookie or the Legend??? I think that one is easy.

This is a Travesty, a Sham, and a Mockery....It's a Traveshamockery!!!

Right now it looks like Favre will be playing out his last couple years in Tampa Bay... Congrats.

Here is my Memorial as I shed a tear...
We'll miss seeing #4 in the Green and Gold,

I don't blame the pack its time to move on and they started to move on then he said he was coming out of retirement. Should of stayed retired hes going to get hurt playing with a lesser line someplace else.

With my respect I had for Farve, rooting for him last year and all. I don't care about him anymore. sorry. He keeps on whinning about retiring!!! This has been going on for 3 years?? Enough is enough..I think he is complicating things by setting retirement and then coming back. He is a legend for sure and he should call it quit before he hurts himself. What is he thinking! Go spend time with his beautiful wife and kid! If Brett was that loyal to the GB he would of retired or stayed with them as second string????

Anyhow I wanted to see him go to the bears.. They definately need a qb!!

If he went to play for Chicago he would be crucified by all the cheese heads only several hours drive north. HaHa.

The guy has a serious love for the game. Here is what I have gathered from the whole situation reading interviews and what not. They told him to make up his mind on staying or not before the draft. He says at that point he was still back and forth on his decision to play or not, but forced into making a decision, at that time he thought retirement was the way to go. Well wrong or right, he had second thoughts... Knowing his passion for the game... I am not suprised. Unfortuantely when the draft came Green Bay went for two QBs planning on moving Rodgers to starter. Well as Favre announced his intentions to come back, he got everything but support from the team he played so hard for for so long. While it would have been nice to see Favre walk away into the sunset and let his Legacy flourish, or even take a QB coaching job with the Pack. You know that he had to think of what would come from his decision, and it was obviously worth it to him to keep playing the game.

His ability is not a question in my eyes. He took them within one pass of the superbowl last year...Right Dean?(stinkin' Giants:D). He still performs with more gusto than 90% of the players in the league. Shoot, if you ask me he has been playing with a pretty bad line(young) with the Pack the last few years... but a guy like him can carry a team, even when he is being rushed by 300# line men. Did we put an age limit on the league and just forget about the talent of the players? This guy is phenomenal, and I have no doubt that he could play at least 2 more seasons without batting an eye or a single injury. If the Packs would have let him, He would have taken them to another Super Bowl. There is no way in hell Favre would ever sit on the bench, No doubt in my mind. Ted Thompson is a Horses Rear End, and the Packers should have cut their losses from the draft, and welcomed him back with open arms, and let him play out his contract, Rodgers still has 3 years left on his so he would still have been an option later. Just my Oppinion.

The Packers organization has always been very good at making bad decisions. Like 2 years back when we hired Mike McCarthy as Head Coach. While he has done alright... When we made that decision we were hiring a guy who had never before been a head coach, and just the prior season was Offensive Coordiator for the worst Offense in NFL history... and we turn around the very next year and offer him a job as Head Coach!?!?!? It Boggles my mind.

Socal,i agree with you. I feel its not Brett's fault, but the packers. Heck, they offered him 20 million to stay away:eek: Idk what you guys think, but thats a club that has no respect for a legend. Moving on or not, if they want to win,its definitley not in their interests to win this year. Atleast let him try out for an opening spot, compete with Aaron and the other QBs before you trade him. I can never see Brett in any other uniform besides a packers jersey(i know he played for the falcons...), and its a shame its going to happen. Didnt Joe montana end his career playing for the Chiefs, and ended up having a not so good season? Ill admit...i kinda got a little emotional when Brett made the retirement speech, and now im straight pissed:mad: How hard is it to just let the guy play for you for a year, your fan base would love it, and the players would love it.(Im sure Aaron wouldnt mind sitting out another season...)
