Night time heat?

Wondering how it will be for my baby Panther (2.5 months) at night time when temperatures drop. I know for an adult it is normal for temperatures to drop. Our room gets to be around 60 at night, is that to cold for the little guy? Right now he is in a 60 quart tupperware bin until he's old enough for his cage.

Since he's so small, I think I'd hang a low watt ceramic bulb over the top of his enclosure. I'll get you a link to one. If he were mine I'd keep him around 68 at night. Panthers need a 10% drop in temps at night.

This 60 watt would work. You need to hang it up ove the enclosure. How are you checking the temps? You need a good digital temp gun. https://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-ReptiCare-Ceramic-Infrared/dp/B0002AQCPK

I have a temp gun like this: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-infr...gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CLfl35OF8NUCFYUUPwodxFoJtQ

Thank you I'll look into the ceramic bulb. My boyfriend works with concrete sometimes so we do have a temp gun that we use.
