What can i use to heat a 68gallon flexarium?? at night.? any idea? i just bought the flexi and am going 2 b moving my cham in there next week. i have 2x 60w baskin lamps for day time heat but dont know waht to use in the night.

Sorrz. i live in uk. wouldnt have thought the temps drop below 60f not 100% sure thought coz the heating in the house isnt on all day/night. veiled cham

I wouldnt worry about it.
60 is a "safe" zone.
They can go much lower.
Sometimes even getting a frost in the wild.

yup. 60F is fine for nighttime. this species is quite hardy.

Do not heat your enclosure at night.
They need a 10 to 20 degree drop in temps at night ...60 degrees f. is perfect.

as long as it does not drop too much, it's fine.
I heard some veiled can even withstand 50F with no problem (I am not suggesting you to do this).
But, general rule of thumb 60F is the limit.

chameleons need 10 degree drop at night.

cool thanks. just one more quick Q i bought 2 small light lamps which were smaller than i thought. i can only put 60w bulbs in them. so was going to use em both together. will i get enough heat off these in a flexi??

I had my guy out at 54 degrees and he was fine.

yes got 3ft tube uv. not sure im going to get enough heat from 1 60w baskin spot though....

How old is the chameleon?
Hottest spot should be a very small part of the enclosure.
