The reason it is doing that is because the egg is expanding quickly and blistering the outside... Those things are very close to popping..

That's what I was assuming with my melleri eggs. I knew it was getting close timewise with them, so that's more or less what I was hoping. I have just never experienced that with any of my other eggs of other species.

Not sure, although there are a couple of them that I have noticed have been doing the same thing as Rob's eggs and they are pretty big. I have been meaning to do another update on them, which I will hope to do today (plus I don't want to take away Rob's thunder on this thread...;)). This is my first time dealing with melleri eggs so, even though it should be just like any other species except different temps and timeframe, I still get wigged out at the slightest change in them. :rolleyes:
