Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? repcal with and without d3 and herptitive. Until yesterday, i had him outdoors 24/7 so i only gave him calcium without D3 about twice a week, but since he doesnt eat alot, he'll probably get 1 or 2 roaches with dusting on those days. and only gave him a Herptitive dusted superworm once since ive had him.

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? i use Mistking to mist about 4 times a day for 4 minutes and i have seen him drink water, but not recently since i just moved him indoors.

Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? - Has not been tested for parasites. Ive noticed this twice, his poo has been a splatter rather than a solid normal one. (SEE PICS)

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about? - this morning i noticed hes been keeping one eye closed, every once in a while he has both closed. Could it be because i moved him indoors?. Also im using a "all living things" Uvb linear bulb, i know every one here prefers the reptisun 5.0,

Sorry your cham is having a problem.

Unless you're using the desert strength all living things bulb, it probably isn't the problem.

What I do see as a potential health threat is not having a reading to know what the basking temperature and ambient temperatures are for him.
These and other important details are found here https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/veiled/

It is crucial to have the right temperatures because chams rely on the right temps to be able to absorb the nutrients from their foods.
Your gutloading could be improved to provide more nutrients but in 3 weeks, it's probably not the issue.

I think you have misunderstood a bit about calcium supplements.

When a cham is kept outdoors, he still needs calcium dustings on most feedings---he just does not need the 2x a month calcium with D3 since chams produce their own D3 when exposed to enough sunlight.

The eye problem may be an infection or he may have gotten something stuck in his eye.

You can rinse your cham's eyes with a gentle saline solution made for contact lenses, a few times a day and see if he gets completely better.
If not, then he will need antibiotics to combat the infection.

Gently squirt the saline solution into the eye and fill it up so the lid puffs out temporarily.
Even with closed eyes the gentle stream can penetrate the closed lid.

I've used these for eye rinses http://m.cvs.com/mt/www.cvs.com/shop...jtt_v_menu=exp

Hope this helps you and your cham.

thanks for the helpful reply!, will get on the gutloading on the calcium dusting. Also just got back from petco and got it 2 temp gauges so i can see where his basking and cool areas are at.

You're very welcome.
I enjoy helping people who care about their chams and are willing to consider the replies.

Most people eat some veggies each day with meals and even just throwing the scraps of raw, rinsed veggies in with the other things will improve nutrition.
