Not eating a lot

I got my panther at the expo on Saturday. The guy said he was eating about six crickets a day. Now he is only eating about two or three a day. I cup feed him with about 4 crickets in the cup. He will eat one and then just stare at the rest for like 10 mins without eating any more. Should I be concerned or is he still in the getting used to his new home? And my work schedule makes me not about to feed him til around one. And I turn on the lights when I get up at 6. He usually puts himself to sleep around 7 At night. Just wondering if I should be worried or not.

Any help comments appreciated
Thanks

the lights should be on a 12hour cycle

Its not uncommon for them to take some time to settle in, just keep your routine going, feed, water, mist and don't try to handle or bother him for a while other than that. It will help him settle in and feel like that is hid turf. Once he feels safe he will eat more and you can then work on more of a relationship.

Also remember the feeder should not be bigger than the gap between their eyes, they will ignore feeders sometimes if the item is bigger than they feel comfortable with.

Thanks thats really helpful. When we got him we had to do some cage rearranging because we didn't have a good basketing spot could that have contributed to his stress and not eating?

yeah have heard of some taking up to 2 weeks to settle in but i reckon that attempts to interact and cage modifications may of contributed also in those cases.

yes i see him drink alot i have only seen one urate and it looked normal. is that normal to only poop that little in three days?

this is a pic of him does he look too skinny? i can post more.

does not look skinny
drinking is more important than eating at first
takes awhile to settle in
he may have been eating more smaller-sized crickets than you are using, or he may not yet be comfortable in new home / with new cup
make sure he has a decent basking spot

thanks for the advice and the peace of mind , guess i will stop over worrying about everything. its driving my gf crazy, just a little nervous about him.

thanks again
