Not showing signs of retained clutch...

Hello everyone, as most of you know my female veiled was mated on 10/25/09 and laid 12/16/09. it has been about 2 months and a couple days and she is not showing signs of producing a retained clutch. Its strange. Could it be possible that she took so long to lay and just laid them all and not produce a retained?

Sometimes it takes 3-4 months. Not all veileds are the same, its all about the care, size and particular animal. If she does strike gravid soon, dont expect the clutch to be 100% fertile. If you want another strong fertile clutch, you should breed her again.

Luie and Camille mated on July 10th and Camille laid eggs on Aug. 5th. Her 2nd clutch was not until Oct. 30 and none of the eggs were fertile in the 2nd clutch.

No im not looking to breed again..i just wasnt sure when she was going to lay but i guess i will wait more. Thanks

Give her a little more time. Have you felt for eggs at all?
