Not sure if she's pregnant!

So my veiled is about 5.5 months old. She is my first ever reptile. My care for her has been successful but I think she's pregnant! To me she just looks fat. I'm unable to see any lumps near her back legs but shes pretty chunky, so its questionable. If she is, I've been reading through threads to gather information, but I am still left with a few questions.

1) How do I know when she is ready to lay?
2) Should her laying bin be in or out of the cage?
3) Are all female veileds generally the same when it comes to gravid colouration? If so, I haven't seen anything. She is usually this pastel green colour as shown in the picture! Unless she's frightened then she turns spotty.

Thanks for all your help!

When she's close to laying she will likely roam the cage looking for a place to lay them. She may go off food as she approaches the laying day. She will likely drink more.

I always recommend keeping a container of washed playsand at least 12" deep x 12" x 8" in the cage so she has a place to dig to show you she needs to lay eggs. Some will lay hem in this sized container and some will need to beloved to a bigger container once they start digging.

A sexually mature female veiled should have mustard/yellow splotches on her and when receptive, bright blue dots. She will also take on a dark background color when nonreceptive. This dark background color can come and go sometimes.

pregnant but not pregnant

Temps and the amount of food can play a big role in egg production, not to mention the amount of eggs. She may develop eggs even if she has not mated. They can also fatten up pretty good sometimes, & trick us with a false positive. If she suddenly stops eating or a significant decline in food intake, & or starts pacing, she will probably lay in a couple of days. All female chams, that lay eggs, should have a lay box kept with them.

She is a pretty little girl! I'm not sure if she has eggs...doesn't really look like it but she is deffinately at the age to have a laying bin in her enclosure at all times. She is also at the age that you should be cutting back on her food and keeping her cooler. I'm attaching a few helpful links for you below.
