I was trying to wrangle a roach that i thought would be a little big for my guy and hit one of the vines and knocked 3 superworms off 1 fell into the umbrella plant and 2 into the pathos and I can find any of them! Anyone had anything like this happen? Im supposing they found a secluded spot to pupate and i'll find them as beetles sooner or later but I've never lost a superworm before.

DOH!

He didn't, he's only been here 2 1/2 days and if the food isn't right in his vicinity he doesn't really hunt

I've heard they stink, I'm hoping 1 or 2 of them crawl out and get got!
They probably won't! But what I can say is they'll chew at your roots on your plants and etc. So I try to always fees only 1 superworm at a time, and watch them eat it. That way I know it isn't lost. Oh well! Not a big deal. Your guy will probably snatch them up in a few weeks when they crawl out as beetles!

I can help solve your problem too. If they hit the dirt odds are next time you see them they will be beetles. Happens to me pretty often. No biggy. When they are beetles it's hard to miss them. They are pretty big.

Um, today actually, with a wax worm.

It fell off my finger when I was hand feeding him and fell right into my pathos. I tried to get it with tongues but it fell between the rocks and into the dirt. That plant is so entwined with the branches that I couldn't get the pot out unless I took the cage apart! I've never done that before! I wonder if I'll find a moth later?

Dont they turn into cocoons before they are moths? You might spot the cocoon before it turns into a moth.

Whoa wait a minute here! Superworms turn into beetles!? I lost a superworm in a pothos plant like two months ago, saw it get under the rocks and dig down in the dirt... Never seen it again. Plant is doing fine tho lol

Lol yes they pupate, then turn into beetles. Big. black. stinky. beetles. I can't stand them.

The waxworms pupate. But they're so small, you will never find. It'll either die or hatch out as Bee Moth.
