Today is the last day to enter the November photo contest.

My dimensions were the same as the new photo I placed up for the contest and I've gone over the contest rules before I posted a photo.. The size was right.. I'm very familiar with the f stop so my shot was in focus not blurred around the whole outside of the shot Maybe I should just hold off on posting pictures until I learn a little more about photography,,lol..

Comparing the original size of each image can help and is recommended. Photos should not only be judged by the chameleon displayed, but also on composition and image quality.

We had over 50 entries this month and only 16 final slots available. This resulted in many good photos not making it to the final voting round. If anyone would like to know how their photo could have ranked higher please send me a pm. A large majority of entries could have benefited from a little noise reduction.

Im just wondering why you insist on the strict ratio? Is this because the photos will be used elsewhere or is it just a personal preference?

The width/height ratio is in line with most cameras so I'm not sure I would call it strict. A line had to be drawn somewhere so that an image only a few pixels high could be removed from the contest. I assume most photography contests have some kind of ratio requirement. The minimum width requirement is a much more frequent problem.

Brad, did you also select the pics based on the different cham species aswell?...this time there were several differnt cham species this time...

Nice to see our picture of Rico made it into the final 16 though I'm not sure it's really a great shot. Truth be told, I vote for another picture that I thought was much better but, again, I'm glad to see Rico's being considered. He looks a little surprised in the picture which is why I went with the caption I did - in my mind I'm sure that's what he's thinking every time he sees me coming with the camera!
