Digital is different from film and often NEEDS color. It is plainer than your eye sees. Film was much more real looking. Love the enhancement you did on the digital image.

Personally I do not think this photo should win, it's not just a simple film, we can even see the branches take a purple hue ..

In my opinion there is a big difference between using slight enhancement such as a filter and completely recoloring a cham.
