Hey guys newbie I am, just bought my first Veil Cham. "Archie". I guess I'm really lucky as he has a great personality & very friendly
He's housed in:
Zoo Med terrarium 18x18x24 (glass)
And just ordered from LLL Reptile his new screen cage 24x24x48
Any advice is well appreciated

Looks good. Just check your basking temps. Most of us use a plain 75 watt house light bulb. The repticarpet can be a pain to clean, I use no substrate at all. Put some medium sized rocks over any soil if plants are real to discourage eating the soil. Best wishes.

I would raise your basking lights off the top of the cage as many chams will climb the screen and get a burn from the lights. A temp gun is your friend, I like the Pro Exotics PE series as I don't need to cover much distance. Also my new favorite thing is La Crosse Tech remote temp / humidity sensor that you can hook into a router to broadcast temp or humidity alerts.

The screen cage might be a little big for him yet do you have any pics of him and did you get the screen cage for when he is older 5-6 months just to have it when he is ready :)

I believe I see a red light in your double hood. If so throw it out as it is not recommend to have a red light on for chameleons. At night it has to be completely dark, no lights on at all.
