I was always under the impression you only feed them worms once a week. After reading this I have to ask the question, is it okay for them to have more than one silk worm a week?
So If silk worms are really good for them could you not feed crickets and only a mix of different worms and roaches?
According to many, including Anole expert A. Lanolis, Silkworms are naturally the healthiest insect you can feed your pet. Silkworms are low in fat content and are a high source of Calcium, Vitamins B1, B2, and B3, Protein, Iron, Magnesium and Sodium.
Let's compare the value of the silkworm vs. the common cricket:
content . Silkworms . Crickets

Calcium - .34% - .08%
Fat - 10.6% - 22.7%
Carbohydrate - 18.2% - 56.0%
Ash - 7.4% - 9.9%
This analysis was completed by an external UKAS accredited laboratory.
