Howdy SBCK members and friends!

Our October meeting is upon us next Saturday, October 27! We will be planning our Christmas party coming up! For those looking forward to building chameleon condos we will have to postpone that until our November meeting because the guy in charge of making the building item list didn't get it done. Yes, that was me and I apologize! But we will do it for our November meeting on November 17.

Though never a requirement, we enjoy the cookies, brownies, vegetable plates, snacks, and drinks that members choose to bring. Don't be shy if you'd like to add to the ambiance with a snack of your own to share!

2pm-3pm.........Meet & Greet
~4pm............Feeder co-op sale and distribution
~5pm++..........Conversation and Meeting Wrap-up

The "South Bay Chameleon Keepers" (SBCK) meetings are free-of-charge meetings in the Southern California area and are pretty much free-flowing, with all chameleon topics open for discussion. "Show and Tell" discussions are common. We continue to have group bulk-buys (silkworms, hornworms, superworms, crickets, dubias etc.) at our meetings. Some members may be bringing these feeders to sell but that's not guaranteed. Let us know if you are looking for these feeders (or anything else) and we'll try to confirm availability (pre-ordering) before the meeting. Some keepers bring their chameleon books and magazines along with other various items to spark discussions. We all enjoy seeing your chameleons, young and old, big and small. Just keep in mind that there is stress involved in the trip. So if you plan on bringing chameleons either for Show and Tell or for sale (pre-arranged sales are encouraged) just keep in mind your chameleon's well-being.

Hope to see you SoCal keepers there! RSVP to [email protected] for directions or any other further details.

I'll worked hard Sunday, to get all 3 items I make available for the meeting. Cricket crack, super chow, and the montane c crack mix. Also working on feeders to. Now I just have to sweet talk girlfriend into making the brownies.

Howdy All,

Looks like I'm finally going to miss a meeting after all of these years . My 95 yr-old dad busted a couple of ribs this week and is in the hospital so I've got my hands full for a while. Looking forward to the November mtg :).

Yeah, it's that time again

I have dubias for sale, PM me with your order and I can bring them.
I also have 200 large superworms for $4.00

Dave, sorry to hear about your dad:(

Are you making those brownies?

I'm making the trip down south to pick up Hornworms, and butters - reg. and jumbo's. I think the silks are too small, so will pass.

Going to try and get crickets to.

Can I get 3 cups of Hornworms then? Thanks!
I'll make brownies, but I my secret ingredient is extra chocolate chips:)

Great meeting! Lots of new faces.

We had Panthers and Veileds on display and tons of feeders for sale: bean beetles, stick bugs, crickets, hornworms, dubia, many species of mantids, ff, superworms, and more. Great place to come to get a variety of feeders and talk chameleons.

I picked up an orchid mantid! Thanks Steve! I'll try to get a picture of her today, she's tiny.:)

Also, we talked about getting rid of spiders around the chameleon cages, and I woke up this morning with the thought of using my handheld steamer cleaner to flush them out or cook them. I'll give it a try today. Non toxic at least.
