Haha, poor Laurie.

Yeah if we all get crackin on breeding these guys we can have a constant supply! No more ordering online with rediculous shipping charges.
 
OMG! My worst nightmare is coming true. So after 2 months of nothing happening a couple hundred silkworms hatched. Then we have all these horworm moths hatching. And now my mantis ooth just spewed out a ton of baby mantids. Holy crap! And Rex is on a hunger strike. I need to figure out what to do with all of these bugs!

Not to mention I already have hundreds of dubias, a bunch of butter worms, super worms and meal worms. Jeeze. I either need more lizards or some local friends with lizards.

I'd love to take some feeders off your hands!!!!!! I'd be interested in hornworms, silkies and baby mantids...let me know what you want for them!!!!

My goal is that we order from each other and don't have to spend so much money. If I can save enough to buy another screen cage I can start to pupate more worms and then get more moths. I feel that breeding and buying within the forum is a beautiful thing, some of the prices out there on the interwebz really offend me.
 
I'm in the process of starting up a colony myself to sell locally; Will definitely be selling over the forums for cheap, the other online vendors are outrageous.

Seems like a way to feed my Melon and make some money (to feed him some more lol)

Keep us updated on your colony! I'm absorbing the info.
