Ohio H.B. 352 (Banning of exotic pets)

don't you think they had plenty of time though. This should not be a spur of the moment thing. I mean how long have these animals lived there. I know its been longer than 3 months. So I think they had plenty of time to have the proper dosages on hand with means of locating the animals. If not then they should not be allowed around as they are a danger. Like prevented some crazy in having all these in the first place i find insane.

Thats the point they should have strong enough meds in radius of where these animals are held. Not to mention should be easily accessible within a certain radius. No ifs ands or buts about it. Thats being responsible. Yes a bullet works too.

Yes.........I agree, the drugs should have been CLOSE enough to use if necessary to do so. The "powers that be".........have been made look real BAD. They don't like looking bad, even though most of them are. The key word here is "responsible"...........the legislature FAILED to put rules in place for such situations and they got caught with their pants down. Actually, I think that it should have been manditory to have the drugs ON HAND at the facility the animals were kept at. They weren't, the animals paid the price for their mistake.

Of course, the "powers that be" are looking for something EASY to fix the problem instead of regulating the things that they should. They don't understand ANYTHING about animal management or the care of any kind of an animal. The only thing that concerns them is getting re-elected. There isn't a "Government FOR the People" anymore..........and hasn't been for a very long time. It's sad...........and what I would like to see is the true ERRORS in this mis-hap being brought to the surface.

Someone told me a long time ago, that you only have to ask "why"......5 times, and if you get true and honest answers..........you will NEVER have to look further for the answer, as it will ALL be revealed. IF......you can direct me to ANY politician that will answer one "why" question with a true and honest answer............Please Do.

...So you wanted this irresponsible, crazy person with criminal history, felonies and animal abuse history with no proper training to also have large amounts of very, very potent, addictive drugs at his disposal too??

No.......that isn't what I said. :(

What I said was that........IF........the proper things had been taken care of both before and after he acquired these animals, that it wouldn't have been allowed in the first place. Obviously, this guy has had a "history" of NOT making the best choices with things in his life. HE shouldn't have been in the position to have those animals in his posession in the first place.

NO proper regulation of those kind of animals........was (and still is) the problem.

didnt this guy place raw chicken around his body so his animals would eat him too?

I didn't hear anything about that......BUT.......he did shoot himself in the head and there was bite marks on his head, close to the wound. All they said was that it was a "large cat" bite, that according to the coroner occured after the self-inflicted wound.
