On the ground

Lately I've noticed that Alex, my 8 month female veiled, has been on the ground when I wake up and get home from school. She is also brown while on the ground, and she looks like she is really drowzy. When I see it I help her back up into the foliage, and when she is in the plants she is fine again. Also since this has started, she is not eating as much. Is this normal?

Welcome to the forums. It might be time for her to lay eggs. Do you have a laying bin for her? Please post some pictures of her.

Laying Eggs?

Can she lay eggs? She has never been around a male.
Also something else i realised, she is being a bit agressive and she usually is not.

Eggs

If she is indeed ready to lay eggs, what do I do? I am relatively new to chams, I have only had her since august.

Her eyes look sunk in and she could have egg, be ill or egg bound. I recommend keeping a laying bin in the enclosure at all times after they reach the age of 5 months old. I'm linking you some info on the female, egg laying and how to make a laying bin. I'd get a laying bin in there ASAP and if she doesn't start digging in a day or two or if she shows any signs of getting worse get her to the vets.

Aside from her possibly being gravid (I'm not entirely convinced of such), her colours are off and her arms and legs are misshapen. I suspect she has other health issues going on and a trip to a veterinarian would be prudent to determine exactly what is happening. She is critical now; you shouldn't wait to do this.

I have to agree with Trace about the recent being other issues (like MBD) and Jann is right too. I hope it's not too late for her to lay the eggs. You need to get an egglaying Site set up ASAP.

I will

I am going to the store tomorrow to get supplies for the bin. I will put it in tomorrow.

Eggs

I put in a bin earlier today.
Also, if there is nothing happening by tomorrow, I am taking Alex to the vet.
Thanks for all the help, any other advice would be great.

As others have said I would not wait to take her to the vet. With the weekend, the vet might me closed. I was on my phone yesterday but on my deshtop today and along with the sunken eyes I can also see a problem with her arm. IF she has eggs and IF her arm is injured or broke then she might not be able to dig.
